If you have been wondering how YOU can get involved to help in a meaningful way, look no further. Join one or more of the following working groups and committees, and make plans NOW to attend the kick-off meetings this month. Each committee will meet at the new Denver GOP Headquarters, at 1000 N. Speer Boulevard in Denver:
Central Committee Meeting, Caucus and Assembly Planning Committee
Responsible for planning, organization, training, materials, and promotion for the November Denver GOP Central Committee Meeting, the March 16, 2010 Precinct Caucuses, and the 2010 County and District Assemblies.
Fundraising and Major Events Planning Committee
Responsible for planning, promotion, and successful execution of the annual Lincoln Day Dinner and other major fundraising events and rallies; responsible for helping to organize smaller fundraising receptions; hosting open houses and parties; assisting with countywide and targeted direct and fundraising mailings; and helping organize and grow the Chairman's Club monthly giving program.
Candidate Recruitment and Support Committee
Responsible for identifying, recruiting, vetting, training, and supporting Denver candidates for state and local public office. Committee will be co-chaired by Chairman Ryan Call.
Republican Ambassador Program Committee
Responsible for coordinating the Republican Ambassador Program, identifying and assigning precinct committeepeople and other volunteers to represent the Republican Party at neighborhood association meetings, community and business chamber organization meetings, and city and local district government meetings; responsible for the formation and mentoring of High School Republican Clubs at each major Denver public and private high school; responsible for identifying opportunities for the appointment of Denver Republicans to city, district, regional, and state government boards and commissions.
Communications and New Technology Committee
Responsible for the newsletter to Chairman's Club members; preparing and distributing email talking point updates and legislative action alerts; promoting the regular First Thursday Breakfast meetings and other Party sponsored events through email and telephone contact with activists. Responsible for updating and maintaining the www.denvergop.org website, social networking and blog pages; managing activist and voter information lists and databases; developing graphics and other design elements and templates; and implementing new technology and interactive communication tools. Committee will be co-chaired by 2nd Vice-Chairman Joshua Sharf and Director of New Technology Stephan Samuel.
Voter Registration Coordinating Committee
Responsible for working with district leaders to help organize and conduct neighborhood canvassing, voter registration, and voter ID initiatives in targeted precincts and neighborhoods, at major community events or concerts, at new immigrant swearing in ceremonies, and other similar opportunities.
Volunteer Recruitment and Training Committee
Responsible for helping and working with county party and district leaders to recruit and train precinct committeepeople, block leaders, apartment coordinators, and other activists; preparing training materials and other information and resources; organizing targeted training seminars; and organizing and managing volunteers that will help staff the office for regular office hours.|
