2026 Assembly Resolutions

It All Begins Here

Results of Denver County Republican Assembly Votes — March 21, 2026 Of 11 resolutions brought before voting delegates, 9 passed and 2 failed. A two-thirds supermajority was required for passage.

Resolution 1 – Condemning Denver's Treatment of ICE Agents The Denver County Republican Party condemns the Mayor's executive order and the City Council's Safety and Transparency in Public Authority Act as contrary to the rule of law, public safety, and fiscal responsibility. We call for the immediate repeal of all municipal policies that obstruct federal immigration enforcement and demand full cooperation between Denver law enforcement and ICE to protect the safety and resources of Denver residents. (Passed)

Resolution 2 – Supporting Audit and Maintenance of Voter Registration Lists Voter registration lists should be audited by an independent auditing firm and properly maintained, including cross-checking against DMV records, other states' registration data, and credit bureau records. Outdated, incorrect, and/or duplicative voter registrations will be purged. (Passed)

Resolution 3 – Supporting Election Integrity Practices The Denver County Republican Party demands that transparent election practices be upheld in the 2026 primary and general elections: voting shall take place on one day, in person, using hand-marked paper ballots; government-issued photo ID must be provided to receive a ballot; ballots shall be hand-counted at the precinct level before being moved or stored; and vote totals shall be publicly posted immediately after the count concludes. Military ballots shall be distributed in time to be returned by election day. (Passed)

Resolution 4 – Supporting Municipal Government Accountability Concerning Streets Denver City and County officials must be held accountable to the citizens. We call for the removal of bike lanes and traffic mitigation measures and the restoration of neighborhood streets to their prior traffic configurations. (Passed)

Resolution 5 – Encouraging Responsible New Spending There shall be no new spending on programs including medical, transportation, housing, education, public assistance, and immigrant assistance until comprehensive third-party audits are completed of all NGOs and individuals who administer government-funded programs where fraud has been discovered. All future funding to those programs shall be suspended in perpetuity. (Passed)

Resolution 6 – Opposing Gender Affirming Care The Colorado Republican Party opposes so-called "gender affirming care" and gender transitioning through hormones and surgery, and instead supports proper psychological care for gender confused persons. (Passed)

Resolution 7 – Opposing Sharia Law We oppose Sharia Law at all levels of government in the United States. (Passed)

Resolution 8 – Allowing Special Federal Law Enforcement Periods Without State or Local Interference State and local governments shall allow federal law enforcement agencies to conduct legal enforcement operations — including arrests, detainments, and judicial outcomes — during limited special law enforcement periods, and shall not interfere with or hinder those agencies at any time. (Failed)

Resolution 9 – Supporting Further Research on Ibogaine in Treating Substance Use Disorder The Denver County Republican Party supports continued safe and legal research into the potential benefits and risks of the Ibogaine compound as a treatment for substance use disorder. (Failed)

Resolution 10 – Opposing the Decriminalization of Prostitution The Denver County Republican Party opposes any legislation, policy, or initiative to legalize, decriminalize, or regulate prostitution. We call for policies that reduce demand through education and enforcement against buyers and traffickers, and that provide robust support services — including housing, job training, trauma care, and legal support — to help individuals exit prostitution. A copy of this resolution shall be sent to all members of the Colorado General Assembly. (Passed)

Resolution 11 – Supporting the Right to Life of All Human Persons The Colorado Republican Party affirms its commitment to the right to life of all living human beings from conception to natural death, and opposes any taxpayer funding of abortion, physician-assisted suicide, or medical aid-in-dying services. (Passed)
