What Is a Caucus?

The Caucus is the first step in the Republican Party's organization process, leadership elections, and candidate nominations. They occur every two years during even-numbered years.

Denver's 2026 Precinct Caucus is where the Republican Party's future in Colorado begins. It's your opportunity to shape the direction of the party — from your neighborhood up.

Why It Matters

What Happens at Caucus

🏛️

Elect Precinct Leaders

Two Precinct Committee Persons (PCPs) are elected per precinct. These neighborhood leaders serve two-year terms and sit on the County Central Committee — the body that elects all county party leadership.

🗳️

Select Delegates

Delegates and alternates are elected to represent your precinct at the County Assembly, State Legislative Assemblies, and State Assembly/Conventions. Your vote determines who moves forward.

📋

Propose Resolutions

Caucus participants can submit and vote on resolutions for consideration at the County and State Assemblies. This is how the party platform gets shaped — starting with your ideas.
